Pakistan Medico Health Centre, Orangi Township, Karachi was conceived by us more or less at the time of the foundation of our organization. However we conducted a health survey of 2020. Subsequently, a 8 questionnaire was designed to survey the health pattern knowledge of adults and children. Thus the Health Centre was designed accordingly. Orangi Township has a population of 2500,000. This was the only proper health centre in the area. This Township is spread over roughly on 42 sqr miles. The Health Centre today consists of curative, preventive, educational and general advisory services.

MEDICO HIGH SCHOOL MAJEED COLONY, LANDHI,

We founded a High School till Matriculation which has two shifts i.e. morning and afternoon. It is a co education with 45% being female students. It has over 1000 students. This School is in two shifts with boys & girls.

MEDICO PUBLIC LIBRARY ORANGI TOWN

A public library is functioning in the Health Centre and is open to public from 1 P.M. (1300 hours) onwards. It has daily and periodical Newspapers and magazines apart from the course books of the students of the area.

Pakistan Medico International Social Welfare Association is purely a Pakistani Organization, founded on 18th May, 1971, by few like minded people of Pakistan. It was originally registered under Societies Act of XXI of 1860. On 30th April, 1979, it was then registered with the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Sind. It has been recognized by the Central Board of Revenue, Government of Pakistan, Under 47 Income Tax Act, as a charitable institution. It is known to various government agencies, such as Ministry of Health, Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Sind, The Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan and Administration of Karachi City apart from various relevant Departments of Central and Provincial Governments.

AIMS AND OBJECTS

a) To help the citizens of Pakistan to uplift their social and economic standard. b) To find out ways and means to improve the health of poor and needy people of Pakistan. c) To create sense of social welfare responsibilities amongst the intelligentsia. d) To open or assist in opening charitable educational institutions such as Primary lower secondary/Technical schools and colleges for the poor people to provide education and wipe out illiteracy from the country. e) To open small projects like opening industrial homes, polytechnic institutions etc. for training people in different vocations and providing employment. f) To open charitable hospital for the poor people of the country. g) To help and assist government authorities or other recognized private institutions under 47-C.I.T. ACT by donating medicines, medical goods and equipments, cash or any other essential items. h) To run non-profit institutions like hospitals health centres and charge nominal fee to cover incidental expenses. i) To run and carry out all social, economic and medical relief work throughout Pakistan and other countries as well as during emergencies and national and natural catastrophies. j) To accept donations in cash and kind both within the country and outside the country after fulfilment of legal formalities. k) To raise and acquire loans to the extent of 10% of the annual budget of the society for the previous years.
